About Me

Hi, I'm Mackenzie!

I'm a people-person who loves anything colorful, sparkly or happy. The happiest things usually include strawberry ice cream or any Beyoncè song you can think of.

I'm from Lexington, Kentucky where I lived with my four younger brothers and sisters. Being the oldest of five I learned some key lessons in communication and leadership from the beginning. Since there was never a dull moment in my house, I had to understand how to communicate the messages I needed to, effectively and efficiently. This is a lesson that is helpful in both my loud family and in the world of PR. I also learned the importance of counting on a team. I am believer in empowering everyone around you so everyone can succeed. I have carried these lessons with me as I prepare for my professional career.

I am currently a senior at Auburn University majoring in public relations with a minor in business. My experience in Auburn, Alabama has been better than I could have imagined becuase it's given me countless friends, role models and opportunities to grow. I aspire to have a career that will combine my desire to serve others and my passion for communication. I'm interested in global communication, especially when it comes to public policy, and think its more important than ever to refine our international communication methods. I hope to play a part in creating these kinds of sustainable solutions.

I think leadership by example is so important I and try to live by the quote, “be someone who makes everybody feel like a somebody," each day.
